Tocsin Designs is a world of one-woman handmade oddities.
I was born in 1976, the same year as punk music
I have been creating diy clothes and accessories for more than 2 decades. All my creations are inspired by two of my enduring passions - music and cinema.
MUSIC- 80's goth, psychobilly, deathrock, batcave, 77 punk , 80's anarcho punk, synth punk, NDW, minimal wave, new wave....
CINEMA- classic 30's and 40's horrors, 1920's silent movies(esp. German expressionist movies) and B horror movies from the 50's and 60's (endless source of inspiration for my horror accessories)....
The background images for all my accessories here on Deviant are the original pages from numerous movie and music books I own and collect.
I'm vegetarian (becoming vegan) and all my creations are animal friendly.
Just in case you wonder why the name ''Tocsin''- it’s the album title from one of my favorite artists X-Mal Deutschland.
